Help preserve the ice desert Antarctica forever
Why this petition matters

Hi,
As I am sure you have been informed in the past weeks the Ross sea is finally 100% protected. YAY! However this is only part of the seas of Antartica and there are still many more to cover. But this petition is for Antarctica’s mainland. This is an ice desert where very few humans have traveled to. The secrets that lie in this vast expanse of ice and snow are extremely important to help us humans understand the history of one of the most untouched places on earth. As I am sure everyone here knows, the earth our home is undertaking a red-alert climate change crisis therefore this poses another threat to the wildlife and environment of the frozen desert of the south, so as an attempt to save this untouched icy wilderness we must protect more then just one sea, and one bit of land. Did you know, only 95 species of the 200 species of fish live in the Ross sea? That means we have covered half of what we should. Don’t get me wrong this is a great start but if we want to dial down the threat we should start with the smaller problems. (When I mean smaller problem I mean smaller compared to the rest of the problems.) I know before I said that this was about the mainland, but almost everything on the mainland is connected to the sea. So to protect the core of wildlife we must take action and protect as much of the mainland, and sea that we can. For all we know there might be a yeti just waiting to say thank you once we are done!
please sign this petition in order to save what was never really ours to begin with but what is ours to protect.
