This Petition is requesting the City of Austin open the City golf courses.  Studies show that being outside can provide an emotional boost to help people feel less stress as well as  provides a means of  exercise for their physical and mental health.  

In the current situation with the courses closed,  the other area golf courses that are open have been overwelmed with business.  We also need the City of Austin courses to open as they provide Austin residents with golf at a reasonable cost. 

The CoA recently opened the GreenBelt with reservations only.  The CoA Golf Courses should be open with reservations only...no walk ons.  During the time that the CoA courses were open during the pandemic the staff did a great job of creating guidlines and rules that protected both the staff and customers.
