My name is Jonathon Parker and I want to thank you for assisting in the victory of this petition. I was murdered but that does not mean I do not have a voice. My family friends and teachers meant a lot to me and I died because I wanted to protect one of them. I did not know that a crowd of kids my age and men and girls would come to hurt me and my brother and then shot and kill me. I woke up January 31st excited to go to my first game I told my Mom I loved her and ran down the stairs to school. She called me a lot that day and I answered but the last time she’d call she never knew I didn’t answer because I was being hurt. I was not protected it was just me and my brother and friends. We wanted to go home to eat I was hungry. I never made it. But your son and daughter will because of the grant that was just accepted due to my death. The idea is that hopefully now kids will think and act differently with police present. I’d be home today watching tv with my Mom and playing with my dogs and my Ps4 if I was protected. But I can’t go home and I’ll never be home again and it’s not fair I was only 16 I was going to play football next year and surprise my mom. I was playing with the school security before I made it to the parking lot. I was having fun my death was unjustified my death was tragic my death hurt so many people but it will also change protocols so your son or daughter can make it home to you!!!
