On Thursday, March 7th, the AUHSD Board of Trustees will vote to remove nearly 200 teachers district-wide from their positions.

This is unacceptable, and it hurts everyone from the teachers to the students. AUHSD would be putting hundreds of teachers out of jobs, leading to more stress for remaining teachers.

We have so many incredible teachers in AUHSD, and it would be a shame to treat them as disposable. We need to show our teachers that we care, and stand up for them when they cannot. 

AUHSD does not make any of this information readily available to students, parents, and the general public. As students, all we see are stressed teachers and an overall less positive educational experience. All we are asking is for AUHSD to be transparent with us about this topic, and communicate to us their point of view.
