The Issue

To: Augusta Health Leadership and Board of Directors

We, the community families, employees, and concerned citizens, urge Augusta Health to immediately reverse the decision to terminate the enrollment of children currently utilizing the Childcare Learning Center (CLC).

This abrupt termination, made without consulting the impacted families, is not merely an inconvenience; it is a deeply disruptive blow to the health and stability of our children, contradicting Augusta Health's mission as a leading healthcare provider.

The decision showed a lack of regard for the critical nature of a child's routine, proving that the impacted families were "not once discussed." Forcing children like my daughter, Ruby, out of their established care environment creates financial hardship, logistical chaos, and developmental setback.

We are not asking Augusta Health to abandon its employees, but to honor the commitments already made to the children in its care.

Our Demand is Simple and Fair:

We demand that Augusta Health "grandfather in" all currently enrolled community children—allowing them to remain in the CLC until they age out.

Going forward, Augusta Health can prioritize employee enrollment or cease community enrollment altogether. This solution supports the community by respecting the children already established in the CLC, while giving Augusta Health the flexibility to transition its policy over time.

Do not sacrifice the stability of our children for a policy change. Do better. Honor your commitment. Sign this petition to tell Augusta Health to keep our children where they belong.
