The 24 member states of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee agreed earlier today by consensus to de-list the Aalst Carnival.

YOU deserve much credit for being part of a long process that has resulted in racist antisemitism being called-out and properly dealt with by UNESCO. Our final press release is here .

Our hope is that we will not need to do this again in 2020. "Never again".
