In under a week, we’ve already reached 1,000 signatures—a strong start toward our goal of 50,000 signatures DEMANDING a full audit of this bloated and opaque city division. Over the past week, we’ve achieved several key milestones:

• The petition was announced at the Toronto Concerned Citizens Organization press conference
• I joined Ben Mulroney’s show to discuss our cause
• We learned Toronto shelters are now engaged in “harm reduction,” actively enabling deadly addictions 
• A new report reveals the City plans to distribute alcohol to shelter residents 
• Olivia Chow’s progressive bloc continues placing shelters near schools—without public consultation
• The Ombudsman has confirmed an investigation into the disastrous 81 Elizabeth respite centre
• Several employees with TSSS and Toronto Community Housing have contacted us and want to tell their stories about the endemic dysfunction at TSSS
