Elric for a new generation

For years the fantasy genre has consisted of two main types "Lord Of The Rings type" and very recently "its like Game of Thrones" Across an every expanding library of these two types in a corner lies Elric of Melnibone. An albino warrior wizard with a soul eating sword in a dark fantasy world on a harrowing journey.

Elric and his saga needs to reach a wider audience for without Elric (much like Conan or John Carter) many characters or elements of fantasy wouldn't exist. Where would Game of Thrones and the Targaryens be without Elric?

The Power of Listening

Audiobooks I understand aren't for everyone. I like many others love a solid book. However they do have their benefits and a large audience. and Audible I believe is the way to go..

Audible has been putting out wonderful productions lately that bring books to life. Recently a great version of Battlefield Earth full of music, sound effects and a large cast for all the characters.. so I figure why not give this same love for Elric, one of the great fantasy series, as they did for one of the great science fiction books?

A Cast more than fit for the adventure

The Legacy of Kain series (much like The Witcher games and books) was a series that was inspired by Elric. You cant read or see art of Elric and then play those games without thinking of him. From the soul eating sword,  the philosophical nature of the characters, to the dark fantasy world of Nosgoth. Elric lives deep within that series.  Which is why the cast of the Legacy of Kain  series would fit perfectly for a full audio production of Elric and his mighty saga.

finally with all of that said the main goal of this petition is to get Elric out into the world again. His saga truly ranks up there in the top shelves of fantasy and needs to be experienced. I feel this would be one of the best ways to do so. And have a nice bit of entertainment.
