Abruptly without warning, New York City’s ONLY country station is no longer on the air! Listeners from at least 3 states (New York, NJ & Connecticut) have been impacted by this. Country music tells a story, it helps and supports first responders and brings people together!

We want the country station back! New York City is not the only area impacted by this abrupt decision! These disc jockeys were on the front lines the entire pandemic and this is the thanks they get?! The response to listeners was, we’re broadcasting on HD-2... well Not everyone has HD-2 so that idea is moot. 

From sold out shows at Madison Square Garden to Sold Out shows at Irving Plaza, country music is deeply cherished in the greatest city in the world. This decision is very short sighted. This station was actually unique, now it gets lost in the shuffle of other hip hop stations. 

Audacy is clearly out of touch with the musical tastes of those living in the NYC metro area. There are many New Yorkers who love country music including transplants from all over the country who relocate here. Shutting country music in NYC shuts the dreams of those who actually could have the dream of pursuing such music! This is a slap in the face to Nashville and New York City as a whole!

We are demanding ANSWERS AND ACTION! Not cheap lip service from those who made this callus decision.
