Petition update

Local Board Meeting Monday 20th November

Anastacia Kirilo
New Zealand

Nov 18, 2017 — We now have 1200 signatures, what an amazing effort in five days!

Our local MPs Jamie Lee Ross and Simeon Brown having been doing a wonderful job of representing our community over this issue, talking with those affected and meeting with Auckland Transport.

To date Auckland Transport have only been in discussion with three local schools over this issue, it would be great if people could contact their schools to express their concerns over the changes. We need to keep focus on the message that children and families will be affected and disadvantaged by these planned changes. We would like Auckland Transport to delay the implementation of any change for 6 months so more consultation can occur with schools and families and any changes better reflect the needs of our community.

Tomorrow night there is a council local board meeting at 6pm at

Pakuranga Library Complex
7 Aylesbury Street

Members of the public have the opportunity to speak at this meeting and it would be good to enlist the support of our local councillors over this issue. Please consider attending and having your say.

Thank you
