Overnight street cleaning is disturbing the rest of thousands of Auckland Central residents. This is clearly illegal under section 326 of the Resource Management Act. The street sweepers and leaf blowers are much louder than the 35 decibel nighttime limit prescribed by NZ environmental standards. Auckland Council and Auckland Transport have received complaints for years and failed to act. Now they are finally paying attention. If enough residents speak out, they'll stop overnight operations.
