With schools closed for Year 0-10 kids (not to mention all our lovely early learning centres) Auckland kids need access to print books. There are many online options but many of us want less and not more screen time for our kids.

Not only kids! Many elderly can't access online services or don't have the eyesight to read off tablets. Not to mention the many other people who are not digitally literate.

I appreciate that for the librarians there is a risk for them to be going into work, however there are many other workers who have returned including secondary school workers and teachers in bubble schools.

I have seen many retail organisations pivot and offer their services in a contactless way. In my view it's time for libraries to do this too.
