Currently live music venues in Auckland are under threat due to the encroachment of residential apartments.

These live music venues not only provide entertainment but are a source of income for the people who work within the venue, such as bar staff, security, right down to the cleaners.

By not protecting these venues we are discouraging promoters from bringing international acts to New Zealand - this will have a long term effect on the economy overall.

Steps need to be taken immediately to ensure that these venues are protected from noise control complaints during certain hours.
