Given that New Zealand has one of the highest rates of Melanoma in the world, it is unacceptable that our playgrounds are still out in broad daylight with no shade or cover.

A lot of parents do not take their children to playgrounds because it is either too hot, there is no shade, or the equipment is scorching.

We want to prevent cancer, and suffering.  So along with the mandatory slip, slop, slap - coverage at our playgrounds should be a must.

Our children are our future, so let's protect them on the outside, so that they can grow on the inside (play is important!).

We need to get this petition signed by as many people as possible - Mums, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, Uncles, Aunties - everyone.  Our children are the future.

Please sign this and share it amongst your friends.  We need the Auckland City Council, heck even the Government to take this seriously.

This is not limited to Auckland City residents either - once this gets going this needs to be MANDATORY across New Zealand.
