I wanted to take a moment and echo the sentiments of many Auburn people, including myself. I have been a supporter of AU for many years and it saddens me to see the state of our athletics program under the current AD. Just about all of the programs how digressed under his watch and none more than we have witnessed with our football program this year. While some want to hide behind a "we are young" effort to keep Coach Gene Chizik in place, we only need to look at the number of underclassmen playing at other schools to see that this "effort" does not hold water.

We have the chance to head our AD in a new and different direction by bringing in a smart and aggressive Athletic Director that will lead our great institution in direction where we are looked at with envy versus being looked at as a "one hit wonder". While I know that timing is always important, it is crucial that we take the necessary steps wot bring our football program back to prominence. That first step is the removal of Coach Gene Chizik. While we may be young, this team has no leadership, direction or the respect for the head coach. It is evident, not only in the public and private comments from players, but also the product that is being put on the field. It is time for a change.

I am solidly behind a push for change and also considering Bobby Petrino for our new head coach. He knows the program and is a proven winner. I ask you to please hear the voice of those that support the university and help lead it in a new direction by starting with a change in the coaching staff and then a change within the Athletic Department.

Thank you for your time and also your commitment to Auburn University. I am sure that you are hearing from many people inside of and outside of the program but one thing for sure......the vast majority of the supporters are pushing for these changes and only a certain few want to keep things in their current state......and those people are only fighting for their jobs or supporting those that are.
