Dear friends,

Since my last update on 22 August 2025, much has happened. I need to share two urgent crises and ask for your support.

Crisis No. 1: AGC wants to brand us  “Vexatious Litigants”.
If granted, my husband, Raymond, and I will be barred from suing (except with the permission of High Court) —even in defamation cases — to defend our names.

Crisis No. 2: NUS Bankruptcy Threat
On 16 September, in the middle of my criminal trials, NUS lawyers from Drew & Napier served us a Statutory Demand for costs arising from our unsuccessful lawsuit against NUS.

We had sued NUS on grounds of vicarious liability, believing that Professor Ben Leong’s public conduct (calling us “terrorists,” mobilising students, and fuelling media campaigns) was closely tied to his role as an NUS academic. The Court struck out our claim and ordered us to pay S$32,833.17 (rounded up: $33,000) in costs.

If we do not pay, we face bankruptcy—which would silence us and stop our civil actions unless the High Court grants special permission.

Progress and Victories
But here’s the good news: we are close to major victories. Defendants have been forced to amend their defences, costs have been awarded to us, and one case is already at the stage of assessment of damages. These breakthroughs can set precedents for all Singaporeans.

What We Need Now:
We urgently need $33,000 by 3 October 2025 to pause bankruptcy proceedings from NUS.

In total, with NUS ($33k) and outstanding fees to Mr Wee ($43k) and $830.25 to HSA for (Sept 2025 installment) our target remains $100,000 to sustain the fight.

Current amount raised (as of 24 Sept): $7,671.10

If you are able to extend a loan until we win damages from ongoing lawsuits (expected by year-end), please also reach out to me.

My Commitment
For four years, I have worked tirelessly to hold those in power accountable. I was locked up for 15 days, charged with 14 baseless criminal counts, and now even my husband Raymond faces 12 charges. Yet we persist—because we believe no one is above the law.

We are close to victory. Please stand with us in this critical moment.

Your support keeps justice alive. Stand with us. Share this.

With gratitude,
Iris Koh
