Thankyou for everyones ongoing support.Bandit is now caught in the ongoing stalling and lies from the Scenic Rim Regional Council. Today I have written to Andrew Tribe - QLD RSPCA Chairman as he never responded to our request for RSPCA assistance in late December 2017. We had a brief mention in QCAT last Friday week with no provision of the overdue evidence from the Council. Amazingly the information they have provided is all about our change.org and Facebook activity with no mention of Bandit's health, no pictures and no reason why we are refused visitation. It appears that their Head Ranger Mark Duncan (who should have had nothing to do with the matter based on his failure to respond/seize/declare//destroy when Paul and our dogs were attacked on our property in 2012 by a pig dog) is upset by the posts! Guess what Mark Duncan my Family are the ones who are upset as you continue to torture our Daughter's pure bred papered, registered cattle dog in a filthy cell for the last 5 months in heatwave conditions. Bandit is the victim not you and your crew of unqualified dog catchers. Please join us at Bandits Blog on Facebook where I have been posting some of the videos of visits where we can hear Bandit. The curious thing is how few dogs are in the Pound when it is such a large catchment area. Thanks again, Judith ================================================ From: Paul Cutbush Date: Saturday, 10 February 2018 at 2:04 pm To: , The Premier , State Development & Natural Resources and Mines , Gary Humphries , Cruelty Complaints , Beaudesert Electorate Office , "Buchholz, Scott (MP)" , , , , Local Government Cc: Paul Cutbush Subject: Re: Attention: President - QLD RSPCA Board - Dr Andrew Tribe - Ongoing torture of BANDIT by Scenic Rim Regional Council & QLD RSPCA (11/9/17 - present) Dear Mr Tribe (copy to 6051 Chasnge.Org followers) As we experience a heatwave today with temperatures at Beaudesert of 36 degrees (In cell for Bandit of 40 degrees plus) I would appreciate a response. Bandit has now been held with no evidence provided by the Scenic Rim Regional Council since 11 September 2017 in a 1.2 m cell with no ventilation, natural sunlight or exercise. Our visitations have been blocked since October 2017. The Scenic Rim Regional Council continue to torture our pure bred Red cattle dog and have failed to meet the required timelines in QCAT. The RSPCA are failing in their mission. 1. Freedom from Hunger and Thirst: By ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour 2. Freedom from Discomfort: By providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area 3. Freedom from Pain, Injury or Disease: By providing appropriate preventative measures, along with rapid diagnosis and treatment. 4. Freedom to Express Normal Behaviour: By providing for species specific requirements with respect to space, enrichment and social needs 5. Freedom from Fear and Distress: By ensuring species specific conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering We utilise scientific evidence in regards to how best to address these areas in a species specific way that is meaningful to the welfare of each individual animal, and we apply these guiding principles to all our policies and areas of interest. RSPCA Qld also advocates these principles throughout our areas of operation. These include our animal centres, inspectorate, animal ambulance services, veterinary services, behaviour assessments, cruelty case management, lost and found services, volunteer programs, education programs, bequest and pet legacy programs, fundraising initiatives, animal training centres, publicity and campaign promotions. Regards, Sarah, Judith, Bandit and Paul Tamborine QLD From: Paul Cutbush Date: Wednesday, 27 December 2017 at 7:44 pm To: , The Premier , State Development & Natural Resources and Mines , Gary Humphries , Cruelty Complaints , Beaudesert Electorate Office , "Buchholz, Scott (MP)" , , , , Local Government Cc: Paul Cutbush Subject: RE: Attention: President - QLD RSPCA Board - Dr Andrew Tribe - Ongoing torture of BANDIT by Scenic Rim Regional Council & QLD RSPCA (11/9/17 - present) Dear QLD RSPCA President,Dr Andrew Tribe, Dear Vice Chancellor, Professor Peter Hoj, (Copy to 5000 change.org petition signees & Bandits Blog –Facebook) My 15 year old Daughters 18 month old purebred, puppy school graduate, non regulated, papered and registered red cattle dog Bandit was unlawfully seized by the Scenic Rim Regional Council on 11 September 2017 in Tamborine. This came after he was attacked on his own property by a cattle dog from next door. The Council then threw him in a 1.2 m cell where he remains after 3 months in sweltering conditions at Beaudesert with no ventilation, no exercise, no visitation, no sunlight and in a filthy confined space not free from snake access.(I have attached a normal picture of Bandit along with the conditions he is in now) I lodged a Claim in the District Court on 13 September 2017 (Beenleigh D 26/17) against the Council requesting that no “adverse action or destruction take place”. That matter is still on foot in the District Court and QCAT while the RSPCA does nothing. On 17 October, I lodged and served further papers on Mark Townend specifically requesting an injunction highlighting that I did not approve of Bandit being relocated back to Beaudesert from Dakabin based on serious Animal welfare issues identified by myself and Inspector Renee Law QLD RSPCA. That day the RSPCA shipped him back from Dakabin to the Council.!! After he had been in the cell for 60 days plus they got in Cam Day who then provoked him with a wooden spoon and declared him “dangerous” and on 6 November 2017 (eventhough we have never been provided with a shed of evidence ) the Council decided he must be destroyed as I won’t build a fence? Please advise as follows: 1. I request an explanation as to why the QLD RSPCA refuse to act on my complaint 637249.I was advised by Mark Townend that he had “escalated” my cruelty complaint to DAFF yet they refuse to act 2. I request an explanation as to why Inspector Renee Law misled my Family to believe she was giving the Council a Welfare Direction when in fact she was doing a deal with Scenic Rim Regional Council to cover up the unlawful and filthy conditions at the Scenic Rim Regional Council Pound? 3. I request an investigation into why QLD RSPCA CEO Mark Townend released personal and private information to his Daughter Sam Townend on 14 October 2017 regarding our visit.Sam who is not an RSPCA employee then posted this defamatory information on Facebook? 4. Why did Mark Townend breach the QLD Government Code of Conduct and the RSPCA Code of Conduct on 14 October 2017 when he wrote to me (on RSPCA email) accusing me of being a bully? 5. I request an investigation into why the RSPCA refused to allow me to exercise and visit Bandit on 14 October 2017? 6. Why did Mark Townend on 17 October 2017 after receiving my legal papers ship Bandit back to an unsafe environment which included building works and welding while he was in his cell? 7. Why is Mark Townend continuing to contact and distribute misinformation to our signees on change.org? This includes releasing private and personal information along with highly damaging imputations? (I note he has also admitted he has no evidence of any “alleged attacks” and is operating on hearsay) 8. Why is Mark Townend using RSPCA donation funds to hire Barristers? 9. Why was Tracey Jackson, RSPCA Prosecutor laughing in Court on 10 November 2017 when I outlined my cruelty complaint to His Honour Judge Choudery? 10. Why was Tracey Jackson, RSPCA Prosecutor laughing and joking with the Scenic Rim Regional Council before Court on 10 November 2017? 11. Why when I have escalated this to a National level (Gary Humphries – National Chairman) has no one responded to the last 15 cruelty complaints I have lodged with the RSPCA? 12. Why has the QLD RSPCA allowed the Scenic Rim Regional Council to continue with its ongoing torture of BANDIT since 11 September 2017 along with many other dogs/cats in their filthy facility on Helen and Hereford St in Beaudesert? This comes after the RSPCA have provided me with logs of at least 5 cruelty complaints about the facility over the last 3 years. 13. Why have you as the President not contacted me after I made a formal complaint at both the National/State level in relation to the QLD RSPCA CEO? 14. Why is the Vice Chancellor allowing such an overt conflict of interest to occur eg: your role at UQ surely does not allow you to condone ongoing torture of a companion animal? 15. Why have you allowed Mark Townend to release private information to his Daughter and would this be acceptable at UQ in your role there? 16. Why as a senor animal welfare executive are you condoing the ongoing torture of Bandit bt the Scenic Rim Regional Council and your RSPCA? This is in direct conflict to the RSPCA Five Freedoms (as per below). The QLD RSPCA CEO is not fit to hold Office and it is clear he is running a fiefdom that even the National Chairman is not willing to investigate. It is obvious that the QLD RSPCA are only about donations and fundraising and don’t actually do anything. This is a very poisonous cocktail when combined with the fascist and corrupt underbelly of Councils that we have never seen before. It is very sad that a person such as yourself with a very impressive track record in animal welfare is allowing this ex Logan Council employee and auto parts distributor to run his own little show. What are his qualifications in animal welfare? Even more concerning is that this dictator is on Ministerial Advisory Boards? I look forward to your advice as my Family and I will get BANDIT home alive but will not let this continue to happen to other pets. We trusted the RSPCA but you are a sham.
