Bandit CutbushQLD, Australia

Dec 3, 2017
Thank-you everyone for the ongoing thoughts, ideas and action.
BAWP:
The Barristers Animal Welfare Panel is assisting and we appreciate their support.I met with one of their Barristers in QLD last week.
I have also had help from one of their Lawyers, the BAWP Coordinator and also a BAWP legal advisor (Barrister NSW)
Scenic Rim Regional Council Review:
The "internal" Scenic Rim Regional Council review drags on.
The matter will move to QCAT (which is like NCAT,VCAT etc for those outside QLD) if the Scenic Rim Regional Council don't come up with a realistic review of the ridiculous declaration/destruction order.
We have been trying to meet and settle the matter with them for 85 days!
They are trying to put all communications via their Lawyer so there is no public record as they are breaching every duty of care item listed in the Animal Protection Act 2001.
We have a plan but obviously will not be publishing that.
Bandit:
Mr Bandit is obviously hot and bothered and it eats us up that they won't allow us to visit him.The whirly birds don't even work on the building.
They refuse to distribute the toys everyone has sent in to him so his Christmas hamper is growing.
We visit each day and shout to him and a big thanks to others who have been out there shouting also.
They have him housed near the cattery so that is really annoying him as they have about 20 cats there.Lots of cat fights!!
The Turkey Inmate:
On a lighter side it looks like the wild brush turkey they were holding out the back in the Pound has been released or prepared for Rangers Kylie Addy and March Duncan's Christmas dinner.
The six chooks also disappeared so Maybe they went to the Mayors freezer!!
I can't work out how a native/wild animal can be in the Pound.
Cellmates:
Amazingly in such a large Council area Bandit is usually alone so they are either not catching dogs or killing them very quickly.
They have 4 Ranger vehicles which usually sit still most days.
The Neighbours:
The QLD Police have finalised their investigation on the joint fence damage and how the dog from next door was able to enter our property and attack bandit.
I have put in a complaint to the RSPCA with no response as the fence was opened on purpose in an attempt to kill Bandit.
Unfortunately because Canungra Police SC MClaughlin refused to gather evidence, take photos or even inspect the hole in the fence on the day they came and seized Bandit with Scenic Rim Regional Council they now say its all too hard and too long ago!!
We know how the fence opened and are now taking civil action on that.
