Well we thought it was bad but we always knew it could get worse. The ongoing serious animal cruelty is an offence under the QLD Criminal Code 1899 and has not stopped. After the Council kept Bandit in appalling conditions at the Scenic Rim Regional Council from 11 September 2017 to 5 October 2017 we were happy that he was moved to the RSPCA at Dakabin. What the Council didn’t tell us that they then, after he was shipped back from Dakabin on 17 October 2017, on about 27 October, after about 6 weeks in a 1.2 m cell with no exercise) engaged an “expert” called Dr Cam Day to ‘assess” Bandit You don’t have to be a Rhodes Scholar to know that after being seized and then put in appalling conditions for 6 weeks, a heatwave,a transfer to a super pound, no exercise, blocked visitations that if you put in a “wooden spoon” as a complete stranger into his cell that he might not be happy.He bit it! Dr Cam Day described Bandit as aggressive after the “wooden spoon test” and a “squeak toy test” as he bit it and recommended a double fence or a compassionate destruction. It’s like something out of Nazi Germany in Beaudesert in 2017. So, then the Chief Torturer, Scenic Rim Regional Council, Mark Duncan writes tonight to advise us that he has decided to destroy Bandit in 14 days as he doesn’t think a fence will work ! So, the fight gets tougher. I won’t put on here just yet what our next step is but can assure you we will win. Obviously, we are devastated and appreciate your support during this critical time.
