History books are full of wars and battles. Somewhere they make a Hero look like a Villian, and in other situations they portray a Whistleblower like a Joker. Who hasn't read about World War I and World War II? Considering what is happening in the world in present times, a third world war seems inevitable. But have we noticed something!
Our history books narrate the oppression of Jews, the discrimination against the Black community and the barbarity of the Vietnamese Government on its own people. On the 27th of January, the UN observes this day to pay homage to the victims of The Holocaust. The month of October is celebrated in the United States of America as Black History Month to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and condole adversities faced by the Afro-american community. The world even remembers the inequality against women that sparked an outrage amongst the women garment workers in the New York City on the 8th March, 1857. Later on, this day was officially recognised as International Women's Day. But, what about the Hindus Genocide in India? Why hasn't the world never thought about us? With a population of 140 crore and being the largest democracy of the World, why weren't the rotten dead bodies of the Hindus failed to tell the horrors of bloodbath in Kashmir in the 90s.
If you distrust me, then try to Google "largest Hindu genocide". You will be astonished to see the search results. Fragments of "supposed" ethnic cleansing might appear on your screen as if Google itself doubts our existence.
As Hindus, we never got any platform to speak about why our houses were marked and burnt down during the Kashmiri Hindu genocide in the year 1990. We couldn't describe the feelings of those women who were gangraped by the Pakistani Armies during the Liberation War of 1971. And mind it, please. This was the largest sexual violence against women in the world. But, no one knows about it. We were numb during the partition of India in 1947, as we witnessed our beloved ancestral houses burnt down to ashes. The flesh-burning smell of our Hindu brothers and sisters silenced us during the partition period. That kind-of smell will make a human petrified and cold footed. But, we couldn't speak about this unspeakable acts. There was no platform to estimate the actual statistics. And sadly, even today our sufferings remain obsolete.
History books and internet are so much biased. The universe knows the stories of the Jews and The Blacks. But, it has no idea about what have Hindus endured since the Muslim invasion and till today.
By the time, you have finished reading this blog, a Hindu, living somewhere in India, is counting his days in fear of losing his life and the safety of his wife and daughters. Mournfully, the world and internet will never know about it. This secret history of our forefathers will remain in the dark.
Our brothers are killed just like Jews were slaughtered. Our houses will be identified just like the Nazis did in Germany. Hindus are the new Jews. But our stories will be forgotten.
