Release Shin Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei II, and Shin Megami Tensei if... in the United States as "import" titles

The Issue

Many non-japanese fans of the Shin Megami Tensei series have never had the chance to play the original Shin Megami Tensei games. While there are fan-translated Super Nintendo ROM's on the internet, not everyone wants to sit at a computer to play it from start to finish, console emulators might not be compatible with it, but the legal issues are the #1 problem. Sign this petition so that we can come closer to purchasing a legit, digital copy that is guaranteed to work on our countries consoles.

We understand that Atlus may not want to translate the game, because only the most hardcore of fans would play the original games, and that implies the cost of translation is greater than the cost of sales. However, the games should still be released outside of japan is "import" titles. In Japan, these games are already for sale on digital services. In America, there is an "import" section on Nintendo's Virtual Console service, and there are PsOne imports on the Playstation Store, I am not sure if those services exist outside of America. There are plenty of guides around the internet, so playing the games should not be too difficult.

By signing this petition, we can convince Atlus, owned by Index, owned by Sega, that at the very least, releasing the original Shin Megami Tensei games as-is would be profitable, will appease SMT fans, and assure the future of SMT games outside of Japan.
