Localize Persona 2 Eternal Punishment PSP for the U.S.
The Issue
-Think back to November of the year 2000. You just finished this awesome game called Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. Some things with the story seemed a little off, but other than that, it was pretty sweet. Then you learned why those things were off, you were missing the first half of the Persona 2 saga, and unless you were savvy with patching, importing, and playing the fan translated version, you were pretty much boned.
But wait- fast forward to 2011. Innocent Sin, the piece of the Persona Franchise we've been missing for over a decade is finally here in America- officially!! Then there was hope that we could finally complete the duology on one platform.
A year later, Eternal Punishment PSP debuted. Another year without word on a localization went by, until Atlus officially killed all hope for a localization due to "unusual circumstances." Yeah, we got the original PS1 version on PSN, but it just wasn't quite what we wanted. The PSP version offers fixes to complaints toward the original: less-than-stellar localization, slow text crawl, etc. It also offers new components that fans of the original would be grateful to have.
So, Atlus, here's what we, the Megami Tensei fanbase want: Persona 2 Eternal Punishment PSP localized. You could sell it in limited run so that you don't have to invest too much into production. Also, since Eternal Punishment was already translated once, that's a lot less work to be done.
To my fellow fans, I know the situation looks bleak, but in the "Eternal" (Heh, see what I did there?) tune of Maya, stay positive.
