The Issue

Kole Management Company, based in Savannah, owns 14 apartment complexes in Georgia and one in North Carolina.  Their leases require that residents with cats have them declawed!  This surgery is illegal in many municipalities throughout the U.S.A. because it is considered inhumane.  Many vets are refusing to perform this surgery.  There are many apartment complexes such as those managed by the Kole Management Company that are requiring cat owners to do this!  This surgery is extremely painful to cats and entirely unnecessary.  It also leaves them completely defenseless.  This surgery is not just about removing a nail, it completely removes the joint and bone. It's akin to having all the toes amputated in a person.  Please help stop these apartment complex from requiring this procedure in their leases.  Thank you!
