Across the City--Hollowell Parkway, West End,  the Old Fourth Ward, Little Five Points, Buckhead, Midtown, and Downtown—thousands and thousands of property owners pay improper, illegal, and wrong waste fees even though the City won't pick up their garbage. (Otherwise, the City could seize their property.)

Although these fees apply across Atlanta, it's important to know that these illegal waste fees have a regressive impact.

Each business property pays a waste fee in the range from $500 to $12,000 per year. In districts where property values are low, struggling business owners must pay more for these “money for nothing” waste fees than for their City property taxes. That really hurts!
