The community of Lakeside, CA is concerned over the placement of a new 4G/5G small cell wireless tower that AT&T owns. The concern is over the potential health risks to the 700+ children that attend Lakeview Elementary school, the staff and educators at Lakeview Elementary, and the neighboring residents. 

The new 4G/5G small cell wireless towers transmit a higher, more powerful radiation frequency that is so close to the ground there is no room for the RF waves to disperse before hitting our children that eat lunch and play on the playground everyday within 150 ft of this tower. Research has not been funded to determine if this new technology and higher radiation is dangerous to people and to the environment. However, there are studies that show an increase in risk. AT&T and the FCC have directly and indirectly decided to place this tower at a ridiculously close range to our children who will serve as “lab rats”. SHAME ON THEM!

There currently is an ordinance that requires towers to be placed at least 300 ft away from schools, daycare facilities, hospitals, to name a few. However, since AT&T got their permit a couple of months before the ordinance went into effect, they supposedly don’t have to abide by this ordinance. Our Federal Government and AT&T need to move this tower away from this school.
