Today a small delegation of refugee volunteers presided by Kester Ratcliff presented this petition to Spyros Galinos, the Mayor of Lesvos. The delegation discussed the TEMPORARY PROTECTION DIRECTIVE and ECCHR report with the Mayor. Spyros Galinos was fully aware of the urgent condition of the refugees in Moria Camp and the hungerstrikers. He would do his utmost to proceed to a speedy solution and he would write again to the national government to advocate for the hungerstrikers and other detained refugees in Moria Detention Center. The impression of the delegation was that the Mayor would sincerely like to help find a quick solution and he received the petition well and asked for relevant legal information about the cases of the hungerstrikers, which will be sent to the mayor. This means one more supporter and one more from LESVOS! Thanks!
