Our growing town does not have a suitable process to assist wildlife; whether injured or abandonded. Living in such close proximity to the Escarpment and trails, the town needs to revisit this pressing issue and fund a resolution to assist our wildlife population. 

Currently, residents scramble and depend on surrounding towns for help. This is not guaranteed to resolve any issue, is the luck of the draw and a very broken process.  Citizens should not have to frantically reach out in familiar Facebook groups seeking suggestions on what to do - it is not acceptable. Our town resides very close to an abundance of species therefore, Milton needs to do better.  

Living harmoniously among our wildlife is important to our ecosystems and our community. Funding and resolution support is needed back in our town to ensure these ecosystems remain respected, healthy and functional while providing assistance when appropriate. 

This will be provided to our town council with hopes for change and a proactive solution moving forward.
