My name is a disgruntled leaseholder who, like many others across the UK, has been severely impacted by the unjust, inflation of service charges imposed by the property management agent Eagerstates Ltd. It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to meet these obligations which feel nothing short of financial exploitation. According to research, the average annual service charge (or combined ground rent and service fees) for all properties in England and Wales was just over £1,100 in 2016 (source: Direct Line for Business). Yet, we experience far steeper increases, often with little justification, transparency or rendered service to account for the upsurge. We request a definitive investigation into, and action against, these over-exorbitant charges.
