Ban bullfighting in Baja California, México! This is the moment!

Ban bullfighting in Baja California, México! This is the moment!
The Issue
Petition to reform THE LAW FOR THE PROTECTION OF PETS AND GENERAL BAN ON BULLFIGHTS IN THE STATE OF BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO.
By signing this petition, I support amending the Baja California “Law for the Protection of Domesticated Animals” so that it no longer excludes from it’s protection of Domesticated Bovines being used in bullfights and bullfighting related activities, for the following reasons:
1. Although traditions are part of the heritage of our society, some of them, such as bullfighting, are incompatible with the evolution of values. Laws should adjust to current morals and express the kind of society we want to become;
2. Because bullfighting is a viciously violent activity, it should have no place in Baja California, either as a cultural practice, or as a form of entertainment;
3. Because the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child has noted that bullfighting violates the rights of children. Recently the Committee provided a recommendation on bullfighting to the Mexican State, which includes concerns about "The physical and mental well-being of children attending Mexican bullfighting schools and participating in bullfights. It even exposes the negative effects on the mental and emotional well-being of young spectators exposed to the deadly violence manifested in bullfighting", and insists that Mexico should "adopt the necessary measures to ensure the prohibition of child participation in bullfighting schools. Moreover they urge that bullfights ought to be considered as one of the worst forms of child labor, thus Mexico must adopt measures to prevent children being spectators to such events, and raise awareness of the physical and mental violence associated with bullfighting and the impact it has on children;"
4. Because according to surveys conducted by Citizen Imerk-Pulse, over 81% of the population of Baja California supports a permanent ban on bullfighting.
