With utmost regards we would like to bring to your Kind notice that Assam is a small state with around 78000 sq km area.Unabated influx of people from Bangladesh has already created large population explosion in the State.Morever,the indigenous people are getting marginalized.
The State faced many agitation over years which has affected the development process of the State.In that background the Citizen (Amendment) Bill,2016 will be a big disaster for Assam as entire population structure of Assam will change.
It will create more violence and the state will get into Insurgency again.We strongly oppose the citizenship (Amendment) Bill,2016 and urge the Central Government to cancel it immediately.
