The Issue

Mesquite Animal Services fires managing director Jeanne Saadi after allegations of abuse

The current manager of the Animal Shelter in San Marcos, TX, Jeanne Saadi, has repeatedly ignored cases of animal neglect and abuse. She was fired from her previous position at the animal shelter in Mesquite, TX after allegations of animal abuse. There is a recent video on the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelters Facebook group page of her antagonizing a sacred dog along with supervisor Christie Banduch and Christie’s young son who is heard laughing as the dog reacts in terror. Christie is responsible for training the kennel staff how to treat shelter animals. She not only abused animals but trains staff to do the same. Animals have passed away under inexplicable circumstances in the middle of the night since she was hired by a recruiting company the city paid $40,000 to. The city council members either don’t care or are embarrassed they hired her and refuse to intervene.  She is currently being paid over $100,000 to abuse and neglect animals in need. The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter very recently received a grant from the ASPCA of $20,000 so they can afford to help yet she continues to ignore calls reporting abuse. One of these dogs is covered in mange and looks to be near death at the hands of his adopter yet she feels this dog “shows signs of improvement”. Please help in getting new management to save the animals of Hays County Texas.
