Euthanizing dogs should not be a thing. It is not fair to these poor dogs in the pounds who do not know of a family that are killed just because they take up space. Think about it this way. Say you’re the dog and it’s your turn to get euthanized. Of course you’re not going to want that to happen to you! And yes, I know dogs might not understand what is going on but they should still be given a wonderful life. Dogs also have a short life span compared to our human lives, so we should absolutely give them a great, fun, and happy life! They were put on this Earth for a reason. Dogs need us humans as much as we need them.

      According to research, euthanasia can also cause physical pain for young and old ill, injured dogs. The shelters that use gas chambers causes a painful death (100% stress) and do you really want to put a poor innocent dog through that torture? I sure wouldn’t. The dog should not have to go through that just because he/she is taking up room in the pound or shelter. 

      You can do so many things to help save lives of dogs who deserve an amazing lifetime! You can donate, you can of course rescue a dog that is put up for euthanasia, you can write to the shelter owner, and you can sign this petition! I’ll be doing all of the above. Please do anything to save these dogs!
