Many lives have been lost to suicide. When your child dies by suicide there is an added layer of traumatic grief. The death of a child is a traumatic loss, no matter how they died. But when suicide is the cause of their death, there is so much stigma placed by society on this type of death. Using the word "committed" only perpetuates this stigma. I am hoping by starting this petition, the media can be a little more sympathetic and quit using such a derogatory term.
