This petition is on behalf of Coolbaugh Township citizens and their fight to protect the Exceptional Value (EV) wetlands and High Quality (HQ) streams of our area.

It is rumored that Northampton Farms LLC/Jaindl Properties, a Lehigh Valley Developer is asking again to use the Walmart Distribution Center’s private road, Veterans Drive, located in Tobyhanna Pennsylvania, as the main access road to their proposed project. The Jaindl project would clear cut 300 acres of pristine woodlands to construct and operate two mega Distribution Centers totaling over 2.7 million square feet. This could mean three times as many trucks and three times as many employees using Veterans Drive and route 611.

The Walmart DC has been a valued member of our community since 2002 and we appreciate them. We are appealing to Walmart not to allow Jaindl to use their private road, Veterans Drive, as we believe Walmart has done in the past.
