The next step is to take action by writing to the Department for Education using this template: Write to the DfE. We hope to send 1,000 emails to the department.

Further, I also want to keep you updated on the progress we’re making. In the new year, a new amendment to the Children and Wellbeing Schools Bill will be tabled by Baroness Morgan of Coates (pictured), on behalf of this campaign and charities EVAW, SEF, and Brook. Baroness Morgan, who served as Secretary of State for Education from 2014–2016, is leading this effort.

If the amendment receives enough support, it would make it a legal requirement to extend Relationships and Sex Education to all 16–18-year-olds, making this petition's ask a reality and keeping young people safe and educated.
