Hello Everyone,

We wanted to clarify some of the comments we have seen below.

For those saying it needs to be taught BEFORE sixth form or college, we fully agree. However, the government already made this a mandatory requirement in 2020/21 and declared that the subject of domestic violence must be taught in all secondary schools.

We are therefore focusing on sixth form and 16-19-year-olds at college because this is an area the government has totally left out. The government DONT require sixth forms or colleges to teach this topic and we think that is unacceptable. 16-19-year-olds are vulnerable and we need to do more to support them and work on prevention.

We also want to emphasise that this campaign is targeted at everyone, people of all gender identities and backgrounds can suffer from domestic violence, which is why we think it is crucial for everyone attending a sixth form or college to be taught more about it. Domestic violence does not discriminate.

Thank you for all your support and kind words so far.
