Ask the Australian Government to refuse to fund the Invictus Games bid

Ask the Australian Government to refuse to fund the Invictus Games bid
The issue
Australians do not want our tax dollars used to host the Invictus Games in Australia.
Unfortunately, Invictus is right now preparing a bid to host the games in Australia and will submit this bid within the next 12 months - and in the process, they will be asking the Australian Government to provide millions of dollars for this bid.
Why don't we want the games here?
The Invictus Games were once seen as a noble cause, celebrating the strength and resilience of wounded veterans.
But since 2019, when Prince Harry separated from the Royal Household, the Invictus Games brand has fallen into disrepute. The formerly good reputation of the Games has disintegrated, due to what appears to be an increasingly shady operation behind the scenes, pandering to known liars and grifters Harry and Meghan.
The Invictus Games brand has been overshadowed by endless negative controversies involving Harry and Meghan. Their numerous charity scandals, failed business ventures, court cases, and questionable behaviour have cast a shadow over the financials and authenticity of Invictus.
Invictus has clearly become a crude and cynically exploited arm of Harry and Megan‘s PR machine. The veterans are ignored, uninsured and unsupported - all the money seems to be used to fund Harry and Megan’s expenses. On top of that, barely any spectators buy tickets to support the Games, so there is no return on investment for countries who host.
Australia should not support anything led by a con artist who attacks our Monarchy and uses the positive facade of these games for blatant self-serving promotion. It is preposterous that Invictus Australia thinks this bid is acceptable and that the Australian public should be asked to pay for this.
These SHAM games will costs Australian taxpayers millions of dollars
It is important to understand the financial implications for our nation. The cost of hosting such a large-scale event includes not just the direct financial support, usually running into millions, but also the logistical and security expenses that come along with it. This money could be redirected towards more urgent national priorities, such as healthcare, education, and supporting Australian veterans in more impactful ways.
Moreover, the current economic climate necessitates prudent financial decisions by the government. With many Australians dealing with natural disasters and economic downturns, precious public funds should be preserved for initiatives that directly benefit Australians.
We urge all federal and state government agencies to say a firm NO to financially supporting this bid. Public sentiment is clear. The clueless Invictus Australia bid does not reflect our values nor our priorities.
Join us in petitioning for the responsible use of our tax dollars. Sign this petition to send a strong message to all government agencies that they must prioritise the needs and values of Australians over expensive, dodgy, and controversial international games.
