PSO Reborn is a fan-made project created to celebrate and preserve the legacy of the original Phantasy Star Online.

The project gave players a new way to experience the world of Ragol through a modern browser, while keeping interest in classic PSO alive more than twenty-five years after its original release.

Following a DMCA action issued by MarqVision on behalf of SEGA, PSO Reborn has been taken down.

We fully recognize that SEGA owns the Phantasy Star intellectual property and has the right to protect it. This petition is not asking SEGA to give up those rights. We are simply asking SEGA to reconsider the takedown and open a dialogue with the developer of PSO Reborn.

Fan projects, private servers, preservation efforts and community resources have helped keep the original Phantasy Star Online alive for decades. PSO Reborn was part of that same passion.

For many fans, this is not about competing with SEGA. It is about preserving a game we love and making its legacy accessible to future players.

We respectfully ask SEGA to reconsider the DMCA action against PSO Reborn and explore a path that would allow the project to return in a form that respects SEGA's intellectual property.
