We request the Mayor of Miami, Danielle Cava, the Animal Rights Mayor that championed worked diligently to improve Toki's quality of life, to initiate an investigation into the circumstances leading up to Tokitae's passing, including an independent engineering assessment of the Whale Bowl and life support systems to determine (i) if they were functioning optimally and (ii) if they played any role in her passing.

Per the lease between Miami-Dade County and the Miami Seaquarium, Mayor Cava, at her discretion, may have the facility investigated by two representatives from AZA accredited facilities, impendent from the county. I highly recommend this course of action and that the investigators not come from Alliance or IMATA accredited facilities, as Seaquarium is not AZA accredited, but is accredited by the other two.

We further request that the full veterinary records, including feeding schedules and amounts, for both Tokitae and Li'i from August 31 2022 until September 01 2023 be released, unredacted.
