LNER are culling pigeons at York train station. Please sign this petition to ask them to stop. 

Culling is being carried out in the interest of public health and safety. Reasons stated by LNER for the cull: 

"The number of pigeons already in the station areas has been deemed to cause public and staff safety issues on the site. For example, they foul on the platform edge causing slip hazards and the droppings are also linked disease risks such as histoplasmosis, cryptococcosis and psittacosis. Not proactively addressing the issues presented would expose us to litigation under public and workplace safety legislation". 

LNER have said they are looking into ways to reduce or completely remove the need for any shooting at the station, but, they are still culling. Pigeons are still dying, babies will be left without their parents, and pigeons are suffering. Not all pigeons who are shot, are killed, some are left to suffer with horrific injuries.
