My name is Stacey Atchison, and I am a resident of Florida, living with my husband and our two sons aged 14 and 1. Like countless other families, we rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to put food on our table every day. By allocating state funds to support SNAP benefits, you can help ensure that no family in Florida has to go hungry, especially during this special time of year. According to Florida Policy Institute, nearly 3 million residents depend on SNAP benefits each month. Imagine the impact on our communities if these families are unable to access the nutrition they desperately need.

Extending state resources to support SNAP can dramatically alleviate the burden of hunger. Not only will this provide immediate relief, it will also strengthen our economy by boosting local grocery sales and reducing the strain on food banks across the state.
