First of all-thank you to everyone who has signed and shared this petition. Reaching 33'000 signatures is amazing and gives me hope.

But, unfortunately, we're not over the line yet.

On the 3rd of October, Bradford Council made a decision to defer banning glyphosate outright in parks and cemeteries across the district. Instead, the plan is to trial a glyphosate ban in Shipley parks for a year. The results of this trial will be discussed in early 2026.

Schools are not specifically protected and will continue to be sprayed with glyphosate under current plans.

This delay is very disappointing and comes despite a lot of good work by officers and councillors across the district.

I think Bradford Council have called this wrong. There really is no justification to keep spraying this chemical around schools and play parks.

If you agree, please keep sharing this petition and also consider contacting Bradford Council directly via their website or social media accounts:

Alternatively, if you are a parent at a Bradford school affected by this, consider discussing with other parents or raising it directly with the school.

Again-thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to support this campaign. We will get there together!
