Ask Alaska Airlines to Keep the In-Cabin Pet Seat Option!

Ask Alaska Airlines to Keep the In-Cabin Pet Seat Option!
The Issue
We, the undersigned, respectfully urge Alaska Airlines to continue allowing passengers to purchase an additional seat for their small pets traveling in-cabin. This option—placing a pet carrier on a secured, paid-for seat—has been a popular and humane solution for many families and pet owners who want to travel safely and comfortably with their beloved animals.
Discontinuing this program would make it significantly harder for responsible pet owners to include their pets in travel plans, and would limit options for those whose pets may not fit under the seat or do well in cargo. For many of us, pets are family. This seat option has made Alaska Airlines a preferred choice among travelers who prioritize their pets’ well-being.
We ask you to reconsider any plans to end this valuable service, and instead embrace policies that support compassionate and flexible travel for all family members—four-legged ones included.
