General Updates
We've set emails to a few media sites and we'll keep you posted on any media article that'll be released. This petition has gained over 1.7k+ supporter but still has not heard anything from APU. I am quite sure they are aware of this, but are keeping silent as usual. Students and Alumni would know that the university is notorious for not listening to the student's voice, even to the Student Council.
Voicing out to APU
The list of decision makers we have now are: Prof Dr. Ron Edwards, Penny Yeow Yuet Mei, Nancy Quah and Muhammad Anis. If you have their emails, please send them your thoughts about this matter. Please send out public facebook post and tag APU (https://www.facebook.com/apuniversity/ The only way we can get the university to change is by publicly voicing our opinions.
Some Numbers
Even if 150+ students come per session with 1 guest, that adds up to RM261,000.00~ (150 students * 4 sessions * RM435.00) without the deposit! Other than paying their operational staffs, hiring student helpers (they get paid RM50 a day), catering to guest and graduates, paying the photographer (only the stage photo), electricity, what else do they need the money for? Their Auditorium One already has the technical equipment and can hold 600 - 700 people. For reference, I've added their packages here (You can check them out at their graduation website).
