Hi all, It's been a while since I last wrote to you but I wanted to thank everyone for their ongoing support for this petition. The fact that I am now with another financial institution does not make this issue any less relevant - in fact if it wasn't down to a family member paying off my overdraft, I would still stuck in the same rut paying Barclays 75p a day for very little in return! (I'm already paying the family member back by the way - I don't get things handed to me on a plate!) These banks pretend to care with their "free alerts" etc, but the fact is they are businesses who make money out of money and their objective is to rinse people for every penny they can! Also the whole face to face aspect of banking is all but gone, I don't know about you but my local branch of Barclays consists of little more than a bunch of computers - very soon everything will be online, which is sad - particularly for people who have lived their lives without computers. Please continue to talk about this petition with your friends and get them to sign up. This is a point about banks per se. They're all as bad as each other - surely this is nothing more than yet another tax by the ruling elite on the working classes?
