When I wrote to him, I was under the impression (as you may recall from Barclays Media Relations' Simon Hailes) that Barclays Retail and Business Banking CEO Ashok Vaswani wanted to respond.
I think this reply is a very blunt/rude way to deal with a customer and demonstrates a total disregard for Retail banking customers per se. I had already dignified Amy Litchfield's letter with a response.
That Mr Vaswani didn't have the manners to respond to my letter personally and got Amy Litchfield to do the work for him speaks volumes about his business standards (or indeed lack of).
If nothing else, Barclays have finally showed their true colours.
