Petition to Ashford Borough Council to protect Mersham & Sevington:  We as residents in the Ashford Borough, wish to see the land to the East of Highfield Lane, up to Blind Lane and Kingsford Street, Mersham, remain as a green buffer zone: "Strategic gap in Perpetuity" Policy SP7 Local Plan 2030, protecting an ancient settlement and countryside from encroachment, as defined in the NPPF.

THIS LAND IS THE LAST GREEN FIELD BETWEEN MERSHAM AND THE DofT CUSTOMS CLEARANCE AND LORRY HOLDING AREA.  IT DESERVES DESIGNATION AS A GREEN SPACE IN PERPETUITY
