Justice for John

Justice for John

On May 27, 2020, my brother called me at 1:17 p.m., he texted at 1:20 p.m. I called him back and got no response. By 4:00 I started retracing his steps and found him at a friends house face down, hands behind his back. His wallet, money, and cell phones missing. The people at the residence had not called 911 or started CPR. I started CPR, told the woman in the house to call police. My brother was dead.
When we received the police report almost all of the information in the report was false. The report stated that my brother died at his sisters house. She left for work at 8 a.m. and came home at 4p.m. and found him in the floor and called 911. My brother was not at that house at 8:00. He arrived there at 1:00. The person who gave the statement was not me, yet it says I gave the statement.
First responders did not find him in the position he was in. I flipped him over to give CPR. No one asked how he was found. The fact that his money, wallet and phones were missing should have been enough for a proper investigation, yet my family and I were not given that respect. He was considered an overdose and we were treated with little respect or compassion. My brothers death meant nothing to them.
I called Detectives and was given the answer that it sounds suspicious but the case is closed. No investigation. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told he would give me a call back. I never received that phone call.
My brother was a good man. I hope to achieve justice for John through this petition. Maybe with your help we can get answers from the Police Department on why the reports were falsified, where the statements came from. I hope to help other families who have gone through or will go through this trauma.
Help me get Justice for John. He might be gone, but his voice will be heard!
