Brother Wolf Hiding in the Shadows
Dear dog lovers,
Bother Wolf (BWAR) supporters are now hiding in the shadows. The list of who is on their Board of Directors has been removed from their website. Their list of financial supports has been removed from their website. Although many past financial supports have stopped supporting them, we know some continue to support them simply because they operate on donations and yet they continue to remain open. We know many employees have quit or been fired for opposing Executive Director Leah Craig Fieser’s policy of killing many healthy dogs, yet some employees have not left. We know many long-time volunteers and foster parents have quit or been fired for opposing Leah, yet some continue to volunteer at BWAR in the misguided belief that they are helping the dogs that remain there. In fact, they may not realize it, but they are propping up Leah and helping her to continue her killing ways by volunteering or by working there as an employee. Also, uninformed people and other shelters continue to surrender pets to BWAR!
Although BWAR is doing their best NOT to be transparent The Facebook group BWARe B Their Voice is holding their feet to the fire and demanding transparency. The group is providing the community a Facebook page where information can be freely discussed and shared. Here is a link to their page:

Because BWAR does not believe in this kind of transparency, they have threatened Bware B Their Voice with a lawsuit! BWAR is now taking money given to them by donors to be used for animal care and now they are using to hire lawyers to threaten the animal loving community that wants this moratorium to be enacted. Now that lawyers are involved, this will be a long struggle. Please help to support Bware B Their Voice so that they can continue to educate the community about the mass killings that have happened at BWAR and to help them prevent future killings. The other thing we can do to help the animals is to hold our politicians accountable. This November we vote in Buncombe County for the Board of Commissioners.
Please ask the candidates:
- Do you support BWAR and the mass killings they have perpetrated?
- What have you personally done to oppose these killings?
- Will you sign this petition calling for a moratorium on killing? (you can take information about this petition to their rallies)
- What else will you do to help shelter animals if we elect you?
LET’S ELECT COMMISSIONERS THAT OPPOSE THE KILLING POLICY AT BWAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
