BWARe and their lawyer are fighting for the dogs

48,400 people have now signed this petition. Please continue to share it and this e-mail. These updates are a good way to spread the word about the horror that is happening at Brother Wolf in Asheville, NC.

Despite an overwhelming outcry from the community over their cruel treatment and killing of animals, Brother Wolf continues to operate and inexplicably people and other shelters continue to give them dogs. This seemingly never-ending pipeline of new dogs (and other animals) allows Brother Wolf to continue their policy of killing dogs that they feel will not be adopted quickly. The decisions about which animals will live and which will die are being made by incompetent managers with no love for these animals. The days of a Brother Wolf with a staff of trained behaviorists and volunteers who loved the animals are in the past now. They have all been fired, laid off or have quit.

Because the Buncombe County district attorney, Todd Williams has yet to bring criminal charges against Brother Wolf Executive Director Leah Craig Fieser, the facebook group 'BWARe B Their Voice' has hired a lawyer and an investigator. If criminal charges are not forthcoming, perhaps a civil lawsuit will allow the dogs killed by Brother Wolf to receive justice. If you were deceived by Brother Wolf by their claim that they were a no-kill ‘shelter’ or by their website showing an animal ‘sanctuary’ and gave them money which was not used for your intended purpose please send a message to the administrator of the BWARe page and provide the documentation of how you were deceived. The lawyer may be able to use your documentation in his lawsuit.

Please consider buying some of the shirts to show you support for this group and their ongoing fight to save the dogs at Brother Wolf and to get justice for the dogs that were killed.
